Cynthia Burton has been a lead facilitator and trainer with Jones and Associates
Consulting, Inc. for the past six years. She holds a B.A. in Behavioral Science and a M.A.
in Human Behavior. She has conducted a host of community forums, diversity workshops, youth
leadership trainings, educational assemblies, parent workshops and community mobilization and
organizing events.
Cynthia has worked in the field of education for over 25 years. Her passion
and professional strength are manifested through her work with high-risk youth. She has published
and implemented an Academic Success Apprenticeship Program and a Community Youth Leadership
Alliance program in addition to designing, implementing and currently directing the FIRST and
ONLY full service Parent/Student Resource Center in her school district.
Some of the clients she has worked with are San Diego State University, San Diego Court Schools, El Cajon Collaborative,
La Mesa Collaborative, San Diego Foundation, Valhalla High School, Poway High School,
Granite Hills High School, El Capitan High School and San Diego Organizing Project.
