L. Reuben Mitchell is a consultant and trainer at Jones & Associates Consulting,
Inc. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Social Sciences. Reuben has been an
administrator at USD for more than 10 years and he currently is the lead person on the
development and implementation of a university-wide plan for diversity and inclusion.
He serves as an internal consultant to university leadership providing support for a
university-wide diversity and inclusion initiative; and provides professional development
opportunities for faculty, staff and administrators. He has extensive experience in
recruitment, retention and organizational development.
He is also a Training Specialist for the Anti-Defamation League, and has conducted professional development,
educational and skill-building trainings in government, law enforcement, industry and educational
settings. Some of the clients that Reuben has partnered with include Phoenix Elementary School,
Pendergast School District, Paradise School District, The University of New Mexico, California State
Assembly, California State Bar Association, Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, Dupont Corporation,
and McDonalds Corporation.
Reuben brings his extensive internal and external experience to
deliver training and consulting services that are tailored to be most beneficial to our clients.
