Thomas Cosgrove is an educator, trainer and consultant in the areas of
leadership, interpersonal and cross-cultural communications, strategic planning,
managing diversity, employee development and performance evaluation, and emerging
models of leadership in organizations. Thomas is an Associate Vice-President of Student
Affairs and Dean of Students at the University of San Diego and an adjunct professor
in USD's School of Education. He holds a B.A. in English, an M.A. in Moral Theology,
an M. Ed. in counseling and a Ph.D. in Leadership.
Thomas has conducted workshops and trainings for Carl Rogers and Associates' Center for the Study of
the Person; Scripps Hospital, La Jolla; the University of California, Berkeley; the Center for Religion
and Life, Reno, Nevada; San Diego State University; the National Association of Student Personnel
Administrators, the National Association of Student Activities; and the Association of College Unions-International.
Thomas brings to his work high energy along with a rich understanding of human development,
leadership and ethics and so provides clients with a deep level of training and consulting.
